Riverside Family Restaurant in Freeland

I didn't get service in time to know how the food was.

My husband and I were passing through and stopped here for brunch. Wow...this place is great!! Fantastic food, friendly service, and very clean restrooms!! You have to try the bacon..it’s yummy!!

The food is amazing! Down home, comfort food, exaxtly what we were looking for! The service was very friendly and welcoming, lots of friendly interaction with people at other tables making it feel very family like and warm. The homemade pie was delicious and the view from our table was beautiful...it was a delight watching the birds and the squirrels that came to eat corn and seeds on the back porch.Amazing!!! We are going to make coming to Riverside a family tradition!!!

The service is outstanding!!! Love the staff there. Food is awesome, the pies are outstanding! Definitely my new favorite place.

We enjoy going to this family friendly restaurant when we are in the Freeland area. Have never gotten a bad meal there. The service is fast and friendly. Menu has many options. Every time we have gone we have set next to multiple repeat customers. The waitresses know which customers want pie with their meals and which ones prefer to take their dessert home. Would highly recommend.

Stopped in while driving to the antique place down the road. Nice views of the river, loved the bird feeders. Real good fries and real good pies 😁

Had their Harvest Salad. Grilled chicken, mixed greens, red onion, feta cheese, granny Smith apples, dried cranberries with a lemon vinaigrette with celery seed in it. Soo good.

The food quality was excellent! The server was not very attentive, otherwise this restaurant would have received 5 stars :)

If you are in Freeland, or just want a great place to eat, this is the place. The food is fantastic and the pie..... yum! Just allow extra time - this is great food - not fast food.

If you love pie, you've got to eat here! They have more pie than any restaurant I've ever been to and IT IS DELICIOUS! Great atmosphere, great people!

Stopped in with my boss for lunch. Haven't been there in years. It was nice to see the staff was still friendly and the food was still grey. We both had the Rueben and sweet potato fries. Delicious and we were stuffed.

Good basic food at a very affordable price. Portions are big. Be prepared for a good stuffing or leftovers for later! Very friendly staff. The first time like a guest... after that, like family.

I regularly make the 20 minute drive because of their pies. Their pie is phenomenal. Literally anything on their menu will taste good. I’ve never had a bad experience at Riverside. You will leave here full and at a reasonable price. Can’t beat that!

There are a variety of menu options. Prices are fair, our server took great care of us, we had a big party. The food was good, I just felt is was missing something. Will probably try a different item when I go back.

Food was good. Service was acceptable, but not outstanding. There were a few things on the menu that were unavailable. Feels like a favorite spot for retirees. They have a squirrel watching porch that overlooks the river if you're into that kind of thing.

The Prime Rib Melt is pretty darn good...

Variety, value, soup, and pies. Plus you can get breakfast anytime. Breakfast is my favorite! Great staff as well. You can watch the wildlife from your booth on the outside deck.

Stopped in Friday morning at 8 and it wasn't too busy. Sat ourselves and the waitress came over quickly to get our drink order.Coffee is average, food is good and they did fill our drinks often.Parking is plentiful and sitting near the windows out back is nice. They have a beautiful view but the need to fill the bird and squirrel feeders!Overall a nice visit, nothing spectacular but enjoyable.

Our first time tonight. We had the Hot Roast Beef dinners, the pot roast gravy was Fantastic. Lemon meringue pie was delicious with just the right amount of Tang🍋Our Waitress was awesome, very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again.

The only place to go for great pie choices. Food is excellent but the wait staff really makes this a place you want to come back to. They remember you, smile and chat with you. Take your time or hurry it along - they’ll help you either way. See you soon Riverside!SQUIRREL!

Sunday Breakfast... always Good!! 😋

Love the food and service but was Very shocked to come in for take out and not one waitress had a mask on..The covid 19 is not over its highly spreadable..Been to other restaurants and all covid practice was all in order, waitress from table to table could be very contagious..

Excellent Food selections for breakfast, lunch or dinner

Came in around 9:30 in the morning. Every table was dirty. After sitting ourselves, we waited a few minutes for the waitress to come over and wipe our table. We ordered coffee and reviewed the menu for a minute. About 9:40, we ordered a simple order of hashbrowns, toast, eggs and an omelette. After 2 rounds of coffee refills, 30 minutes passed and we got our food. Place wasn't very busy so we didn't understand the long wait. I noticed immediately when the food was brought to us, that there was a short, bristle hair cooked into my omelette. I didn't even take a bite to find out what was cooked into the middle. 30 minute wait for hair? We didn't eat and left. Only positive experience is the friendly waitress who helped us.

Food is excellent! Nice sized portions. Priced fair for the amount of food you receive. Waitstaff is pleasant but as it gets busier service goes down (waiting to ask for dessert and the check took a bit longer than expected). Clean and comfortable restaurant.

A very good family run place. Good food , good portions, fair prices. Have been here quite a few times. Had the pot roast today, fork tender!!! Save room for pie. They have a large selection to choose from that changes with the season.
